Scandal Promotes George Newbern to Series Regular for Final Season

His status change comes as ABC is poised to officially announce that the Shonda Rhimes-created political thriller will be heading into its final season.

Good. Considering how much he’s been on, I’m surprised they didn’t do this already, but at least he will be part of the endgame.

It’s weird that he wasn’t a regular even though his character appeared in more episodes this season than Cyrus, Marcus and Lizzie.
