I know some people think it's not as good, or just not as convenient, but I still believe the sound quality is better.

The audio range for analog recordings remains higher than CDs, after all these years, and "sampling rate" isn't an issue for analog recordings. Aside from that, it's like watching films on VHS rather than DVD: there's just a much larger collection of music on record than on CDs or .mp3/.aac - many of which will never be transferred to newer formats.

I would really like to though, if we had a player.

Yes. I have my own record player in my room (parents gave to me as a Christmas present many years ago).

I still have my Dad's Rock collection on Vinyl, big part of it is "The Beatles" and "Paul McCartney & Wings" but there are as well bands like Eagles, Boney M, Scorpions, Europe, Yngwie Malmsteen, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Queen, Elton John and Bee Gees.

I have throughout the years myself added to the collection like Lionel Richie, John Farnham, Suzie Quatro, Elvis and many Jazz and classical greats.

I do as well have a big collection of hair/glam metal and heavy metal on CD which I occasionally play.

Recently played from start to finish "The Final Countdown" by Europe on vinyl. Still sounds perfect (crisp), great quality and sound. I will always love vinyl. For me it will never get old.
