It was the night before my birthday, and I could absolutely not fall asleep. I was nervous but excited at the same time. Despite my insomnia, Prince had no trouble falling asleep. His snoring was filling the room. It was horrible. I think that was one of the reasons I couldn't fall asleep. I sighed. Whatever. I grabbed my book and turned the lamp on my side table, tableau on. Prince was a heavy sleeper, so he wouldn't mind. I started to read, every word making me plus drowsy then the other. Eventually I passed out while in the middle of a paragraph.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR ELLE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!" The chant woke me up.
"Huh?" I a dit rubbing my eyes open.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" Paris yelled, hugging me as soon as my eyes blinked open. Prince and Jaafar were closely behind her.
"Happy birthday, Elle." Jaafar and Prince a dit in unison, hugging me too.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELLIE BELLY!" Blanket ran into my room and jumped on the bed.
"Aw! Thanks toi guys! Whoa. What did toi do to the room?!" I asked eyeing all of the confetti, balloons and streamers covering the room. There were presants at the foot of my bed.
"We did some decorating." Prince said, smiling.
"But toi were asleep!" I said.
"I was faking it. It's really hard to snore for 30 minutes straight." Prince a dit rubbing his face.
"Aww!" I a dit s’embrasser his nose and walking into the bathroom. I quickely brushed my teeth and washed my face.
"Breakfast time!" Blanket a dit grabbing my arm and dragging me out of my room.
"Happy birthday, Elle!" Katherine said.
"Thank you!" I replyed.
We all sat down and slowly ate our crêpes while talking. When we were done, the rest jour sort of traveled par in a blur. For lunch, we all went to a fancy restaurant.
"SURPRISE!" A HUGE group of people yelled as I walked into the Jackson house with everyone else. I jumped and screamed a little, grabbing onto Prince who started to chuckle.
"Aww! Thanks everyone!" I a dit laughing at my silliness.
Most of the time Prince and I were laughing, talking, ou kissing. It was fun, I have to admit, while it lasted. Sometime around 7:30, Prince pulled me aside.
"Let's go!" He a dit grabbing his hoodie and putting his shoes on.
"Go where?" I asked slipping some appartements on.
"A carnival. Remember? toi told me that toi absolutely loved them because your dad always took toi to them in the summer."
"That's so sweet! toi remembered?" I a dit blushing.
"Of course. Anything for you." He a dit s’embrasser me.
We hopped in a car and drove quite a bit until the car stopped infront of my favori places to be.
Prince ran around and opened the door for me. I took his hand in mine and we walked to the entrance.
We went on the merry-go round like little kids just for the hell of it, on the ferris wheel where we kissed half of the time we were on, and the bumpercars where he purposfully crashed into me a billion times. It was my favori rendez-vous amoureux, date so far, and Prince was being extremely sweet. His hair blew in the wind, making his tousels float off behind him in a dreamy way. I saw a colossal teddy bear. I could emballage, wrap my arms around it, and still not be able to get around to the other side to touch my other hand.
"Prince! I really really really want that teddy ours over there!" I a dit pointing to the light brown ball of fluff.
"That huge one right there?" He asked looking at it smiling. I nodded. "Ok." He a dit walking up to the man at the counter. "What do I have to do to get that huge teddy ours right there."
"Ya gotta knock all of 'em lait bottles right here down ten times." The man behind the counter a dit in a thick southern accent. He was somewhere in his twenties, good looking and smelled of cigars.
"Ah. This is gonna be easy. Don't worry baby, that teddy ours is yours." Prince a dit grabbing the ball. He threw it once. It hit the middle bottle at the bottom and all of them crashed down out of their neat formation. He hit it once more, this time not being so lucky and only knocked three down.
"It's alright, I got this." Prince a dit seeing my worried face. He hit it another 9 times, and got them all down perfectly, not missing one plus time.
"And I'm assuming this gros morceau, hunk of l’amour goes to the little lady?" Cigar guy a dit handing me the huge bear. I nodded and smiled.
"Thanks!" I told Prince, s’embrasser him. We sat at a small table, tableau infront of a pop corn, maïs soufflé stand, chomping down on some nachos and cotton candy.
"I'll be right back." I told Prince, standing up to go wash the stickiness of cotton Candy off of my hands.
When I came back, I noticed that my ours was adorned with Prince's hoodie and something shiny around its enormous neck. It was a necklace. The cheesy ones where it's a half of a cœur, coeur and the person giving it to toi gets the other half. I looked at Prince with a questioning look.
"Happy birthday!" He a dit for a seconde time, pulling a box of chocolates and a dozen roses from behind his back.
"Thank toi so much!" I a dit s’embrasser him to express my thankfulness.
"I thought you'd like it." He a dit hooking the neckless around my neck.
I couldn't have wished for a better night.
