Mrakmaldanish That's right ,people. The only reason I even cared for Dawn to win that contest so there wouldn't be too much fillers.....I don't hate Dawn, btw, she's actually one of my fav characters.

NyoHetaliaCreed I have watched a fair bit of the Sinnoh saga, and even though I like May and Dawn on the same level (okay I like May just a little bit more) I have to agree with you. If May won we'd then have to watch filler episodes before Dawn gets to win another few contests. And then you'd be wondering where the Sinnoh saga's plot involving Ash has gone because then it would all be revolving around Dawn and her winning contests. Then everyone would've started whining that Dawn was being an attention-hog. But I haven't been able to watch the Sinnoh saga (especially with Dawn and her contests) all the way through, so I probably have no idea what I'm talking about. But yet again, Dawn took May's place as the girl competing in the Pokemon contests. However May IS the more experienced of the two, so people where probably angered and confused about how Dawn, an amatuer, managed to defeat May, who's a professional or at least more experienced. Also, Dawn winning against May despite being on different levels of experience and that Dawn 'replaced' May as the contest girl and female companion, this whole thing could simply be acting as hater fuel. But as I've said I don't watch the anime much anymore so I probably have no idea what I'm saying.

AninditaS I don't care if she won.But May is definitely a more better co-ordinator than Dawn.That's for sure! And Dawn has to get more practice to get to the level of May.

Mrakmaldanish I agree with the both of you. @AninditaS That's true, Dawn was much less experience than May.

TheUnownOne May went through a lot to become the skilled coordinator that she is; to see her lose to some newbie who was currently suffering from a losing streak was nothing short of insulting to May's character. They were basically making Dawn look like the better character at May's expense. The whole point of the Wallace Cup was so that Dawn could regain her confidence from her current losing streak; they didn't need May to do that; hell, she didn't even need to win the whole thing to do that. Also I disagree with the whole filler thing. Despite Dawn winning the Wallace Cup, we still had to put up with crap loads of filler throughout Sinnoh.

Mrakmaldanish Yeah, if May won we would have to go through a whole lot more of stupid fillers. Fillers suck, pure and simple. Having May win that contest would have just double killed it. Sinnoh may be one of my favourite but it's also boring like Johto.

3kicks Being a coordinator you should be aware of the time limit. I'm sorry but it realy irritates me when people argue about this. Dawn won, big deal. Dawn trained her Pokemon, just like May did. May had more experience? True, but experience doesn't always decide the winner. Dawn is very skilled, as well as May, but the battle was fair.

pumpkinqueen Experience doesn't mean anything, Gym Leaders get beat all the time and I'm sure they have more experience. Also May's style doesn't even fit Contests, I mean she's good at it. But she would be better doing Gym Battles. The way Dawn works fits a Contests the best. Dawn won fair in square, no reason to make a big deal out of it.

TheUnownOne @3kicks If discussions like this irritate you, they why participate in the first place. ---------------------------------------- @last two posts A Gym Leader's job is to test the Trainer and their Pokemon so they're strong and resourceful enough to compete in the Pokemon League. Obviously if the Gym Leader won all the time, no one would be able to enter the Pokemon League. As for the Wallace Cup, they could have made it so that the winner received a special ribbon (one that's equal to, say, 2 or 3 normal ribbons) and the runners-up receive regular ribbons; that way, Dawn would have still gotten a ribbon, even if May beat her. It's hard to believe that people would go out of their way to compete in the Wallace Cup for the chance of winning a single ribbon that they could easily obtain in the region they were currently competing in.

Mrakmaldanish Well, as boring as I find Sinnoh and Johto to be, I guess they're not all that bad. However, the Kanto and Johto movies were really bad in my opinion. They literally made no sense. Starting from Hoenn, that's when I started paying attentions to the movies. I don't like watching most of the classic ones, except for Movie 2000. Guess I kinda like that one. But even that movies had some major flaws. And Sinnoh may also have boring episodes, but at least there were decent action in it. Anyways, yeah, I think I can respect your opinion XD

ImAnEasel Well, I think Dawn is better with Pokemon and has a better attitude than May, so that makes up for her lack of experience (compared to May), in my opinion. I don't understand why so many people love May, to be honest. I was really happy when Dawn won the Wallace Cup.
