What starter should I get for Pokemon Blue?

A Charmander named Dowie? Ok, toi don't have to nickname it that.. I come up with the oddest Pokemon nicknames.. ^^'

I could never stand to play it because of the graphics but.. whatever. ^^'

i would chose charmander because he is awsome but the best choice would be bulbasaure because he kicks the gym leaders butts MDR good luck
