does peter only give red roses?

I've seen stories that toi can get a red rose, put it beside the window and if it doesn't die for plus than a week then that's a sign that peter visits toi & changes it. However, does the fleurs have to be red? I mean can I just for example put jasmin fleurs would he change it too or
