The suivant weekend, the boys were at their club again, but this time with a few differences. When the curtain opened, it was to reveal a band of four at their instruments, poised and confident and ready to play. And that wasn't the only new thing. During the week, Jimmy's dad had agreed to go get the front of his son's basse, bass drum painted. The drum now proudly displayed the group's new name.
Les started them off with a riff, and the others followed right in, Charles and Felix keeping rhythm and sometimes playing off each other and doing something plus daring and fancy, Jimmy keeping time on his drums and joking with the audience between numbers. They played a number of sixties and seventies rock songs, and soon had almost the whole club up on their feet, dancing and chant along.
At a corner table, tableau sat an older gentleman with a kind face, sipping a cup of tea. He watched the boys with interest, impressed par their talent in interpreting these songs from his own youth. They were too talented to only go as far as playing a small nightclub, he thought.
The band's set ended and they took their bows, the crowd still calling out for more, cheering the band, calling out their name. “A Wave Tossed In the Ocean! A Wave Tossed In the Ocean!”
In the club's small backstage room, the boys put their instruments away, flushed and happy. “We did it, men!” cheered Les. “Let's give ourselves a round of applause!”
“We are the best!” grinned Charles.
“They do seem to think so,” agreed Felix plus modestly.
“And they l’amour your name idea,” Jimmy added. “Listen to them calling it!”
Les gave a small smile. “There's meaning behind it. Even if they don't know about that, they still know this name is right.”
Felix laid a hand on Les's shoulder. “I think that's the best thing toi could do with your father's comment. My father always told me, when I was upset, to just put it in my musique instead of bottling it up ou complaining about it. That's what I always do now.”
“Wait, toi write songs?” Charles demanded. “And why did we not hear of this? We could play originals!”
“Yeah!” cheered Jimmy. “I know Les and I could write some great ones.”
Les beamed, as Felix just smiled and gave a small shrug in response to Charles. écriture original songs... that would be taking his band to a whole new level....
A knock sounded at the backstage door. One of the club employees poked his head around the door.
“Excuse me, A Wave Tossed In the Ocean –” Les grinned at being properly addressed par his new band name – “someone from the audience wants to talk to you. An older gentleman.”
A fan? Les could hardly stand still from excitement. “Send him in!”

Erin said, "He is a traverser, croix between a German Shepherd and a Siberian Husky." Another person asked, "How old is he?" Paul replied, "He will be three months old later this month." Klondike enjoyed all the attention he was getting. He didn't seem to mind the noises during the parade. That night, he wasn't even bothered par the fireworks. Carl said, "I think he's mascot material. He doesn't have a problem with crowds ou noises." Lola said, "Yeah. He will do well when he starts touring with us." The members of New Religion knew that they got the perfect dog to be their new mascot when Fritz retires. Klondike will have big shoes to fill, but he'll certainly fill them.

The suivant day, Leila and Greeley took Paul for a walk on the plage while Leila's aunt and uncle relaxed on the beach. Greeley said, "I can't believe today is our last jour here." Leila said, "I know. Vacations always go par so quickly." He said, "Let's make the most of the time we have." She said, "Yes." That evening, they had a seafood meal. They then began packing for their things so that they would be ready for their trip back home. Greeley a dit to Leila, "Thank toi for inviting me to go on vacation with you, Leila." She said, "You're welcome, Greeley." He said, "We'll have to do some plus fun things this summer." She said, "Yeah. That would be great." They settled into their beds to rest for the trip the suivant morning.
The suivant day, Greeley accompanied Leila and her aunt and uncle on a ride to the nearest beach. Leila's uncle drove. Leila's dog, Paul, enjoyed looking out the window at the sights. When they stopped for lunch, Leila took Paul out on a leash to "do his business". A few people stopped Leila and asked her, "What kind of dog is that?" Most people didn't believe her when she told them that Paul is a purebred German Shepherd Dog. Leila didn't mind, though. She was aware that most people don't know that Shepherds can be blue, especially solid blue like Paul. Around 6:00 that evening, Leila, Greeley, Leila's aunt and uncle, and Paul arrived at the property. It was a nice plage house, and it was very pet friendly. They were all tired from their trip. After unpacking, they got dîner and relaxed for the rest of the evening. A few hours later, they called it a night.
Leila and Greeley had just finished their first an of college. They were looking vers l'avant, vers l’avant to the summer. Greeley asked, "What are toi going to do this summer, Leila?" She said, "I'm mostly going to relax and take it easy. What are toi going to do?" He said, "I think I'll do the same, but we should do some fun things this summer. After all, summer doesn't last forever." She said, "You're right. We should do some fun things together." He said, "I'd like that." Later, Leila texted Greeley and said, "My aunt and uncle and I are going to the plage this weekend. They a dit that I can bring one friend with me. I first asked Rita, but she can't come, because she's taking summer classes as well as taking on a summer job. Would toi like to come with us, Greeley?" He said, "I'd l’amour to, Leila." She said, "Great!" He asked, "Is your dog, Paul, going too?" She said, "Of course he is." The two Friends were looking vers l'avant, vers l’avant to their weekend getaway.
