Why is bella in a clinic? That is what it looked like when toi saw her in the present time.

We have no clue why BELLE is in a MENTAL WARD. the assumption is that Regina put her there...we will find out plus in the finale...can't wait! :)

Since Regina went to see Belle there, it is a very sûr, sans danger assumption that she is the one that put Belle in the hospital. This is after she lied and told Rumplestiltskin that Belle was dead in fairytaleland, so it is also a sûr, sans danger assumption that she wants to keep those two apart. We just dont know why yet.
