I understand it why he did it but I don't agree with it.
I think it was a bit cruel of how he did it. He didn't have to do the "clean break" thingy where he wouldn't even give her the choice to say goodbye to Alice and the other Cullens. And taking all the stuff he gave her was pretty low :(
it only like ended up traumatizing her more telling her he didn't want her anymore, he should have explain his reasons and she wouldn't have been as badly hurt.
