Within Temptation isn't as well-known on here because that band is from the Netherlands. If this was a poll made on a website mostly occupied by people from the Netherlands, Within Temptation would win. Besides, just because you don't know who they are doesn't mean no one else does. And IMO, you shouldn't even vote on these things (competitions between two artists to know which is the "best ever") if you don't know both artists.
