I ask this question out of curiosity, as on facebook there's a heat-up discussion on which movie will become the No.1 this year and whether the new record created by Jurassic World will be overriden by Star Wars or not.

Also Jurassic World didn't make number 1, instead it made number 3 with Furious 7 as number 1.

I'm sure it'll come close... whether it will surpass it I'm not sure.

Furious 7 grossed 1.5billion and it's the final number, whereas Jurassic World grossed 1 billion in 10 days and still number 1 in weekly chart. It's fair enough to predict JW will eventually surpass Furis 7 in no time I guess.

I'd doubt a Star Wars movie will cash less than a Jurassic movie. I mean, even the with the new trilogy being so horrible tons of people still watched it. Personally I'm more curious about Star Wars than I was about Jurassic World. There's a lot you can do in that universe, and with the Dinosaurs, well, we kinda know what's gonna happen. I suppose the question should really be about quality. I mean, I really didn't need another Jurassic movie. So do I need another Star Wars?
