It's typical of sequels to come out about 2 ou 3 years after the first film. Sometimes, sequels come out the an after the first one. However, La Reine des Neiges 2 has come out 6 years after the first film. That's something it has in common with Alice Through the Looking Glass, which came out 6 years after the first film.
