There’s nothing like a good Christmas movie to put toi in the mood of the season. Lifetime always offers up a bunch of solid fare and this an is no exception.
The network launched their annual It’s a Wonderful Lifetime holiday movie lineup with the delightfully new original movie, “CHRISTMAS A LA MODE.”
This one stars Katie Leclerc (from Freeform’s “Switched at Birth”) who gets caught up in a delicious scheme with Ryan Cooper to save her late-father’s farm from being sold par her own sister. Also involved in the tasty plot is actress CAROLINE KEELER, who portrays Katie’s supportive best friend.
I recently caught up with Caroline Keeler to find out more:
Tell us about your role in “Christmas a la Mode.”
CAROLINE KEELER: I play Gloria, our main character Emily White’s (played par Katie Leclerc) close friend and right- hand-gal. Gloria has been working overtime on the White’s family dairy farm to keep it up and running, and she later teams up with Emily and her mom Susan to launch a crowd-funding campaign to save it. I l’amour Gloria… it was such a joy to play her. She’s got heart, spunk, and tenacity… she’s that cheerleader and rock that toi want in your life..
How was it to work alongside Katie Leclerc?
CK: Katie is amazing. I could not have asked for a better person to work alongside. We first met a couple of days before we started shooting, when we went to check out the farm we’d be working on, and I was like “yep, she’s a good one!” I knew it was going to be a great dynamic. I always felt at ease in our scenes together. She’s so kind and has this incredible work ethic… she’s a team player and an absolute pro.
What would toi consider your characters ‘best’ quality? And their ‘worst’?
CK: Gloria is a giver; she is steadfastly loyal. But, being so generous in that way, I wonder if this also her worst quality— ha! I only mean that maybe she puts herself last a lot. I think that’s often the case for people with big hearts.
Any interesting stories from the set toi can share with us?
CK: We laughed A LOT. The cast had very similar senses of humor, so we were always cracking each other up. Also, we worked with cows, so toi can imagine how unpredictable that was! They just did their thing… if toi know what I mean... and we worked around it! We had some messy, smelly days on the farm!
What’s the biggest lesson toi learned from working on this project?
CK: Before booking “Christmas a la Mode,” I hadn’t worked on a film in a long time. I’ve mostly been doing theater for the past eight years ou so. Getting back on set, building this little family… it just reminded me how much I l’amour film and the process of filmmaking. I l’amour collaborating with a group of people who all have a specific job and a niche expertise (crew members are unreal and I bow down to them) and together we make this thing happen. It’s just magical… it makes my cœur, coeur sing, toi know? So what I learned is that I really want to focus plus on film and télévision projects!
And, now just for fun:
Who’s your favori actor/actress?
CK: Kathryn Hahn. I would watch her stare at a wall.
What role from the past do toi wish toi could have played?
CK: Oh wow, this is hard! One that comes to mind is Peggy Olsen from “Mad Men.” What a role. Honestly, I would play anyone on that show. Matthew Weiner wrote such meaty characters.
Favorite movie ou TV montrer from your childhood.
CK: Probably “Goonies” and “The X-Files.”
Tell us one thing that would surprise our readers to learn about you.
CK: I’m celebrating two years vegan this month!
How can fans keep up with you?
CK: Instagram is my fave social media platform… follow me @Caroline_Keeler link
Thanks for the holiday cheer, Caroline!

My review of chant in the Rain, was surprise. My mom had forced me to watch it with her, and I thought it was going to be terrible. But, to tell toi the truth, I kinda liked it. the songs were pretty good, besides for the one where he confessed his l’amour to her. The choreography and lyrics sucked. But the whole idea was a good one. Good morning was a good song. So was make em' laugh. This movie was probably one of the better comédies musicales I've seen, it was definetly better than the sound of music. I HATE that movie. hmmmmm... well, I've ran out of things to say so, bye! I have to say that, when I made this, I had no idea what I was going to say. So don't think bad stuff about me as a critic because when I review a movie I usually don't just wing it.
For those who don't know, recently the new Razilee and Elijah, which is being titled as "Elijah: Part 3" which is the third and presumably final film in the series, faced an onslaught of trends regarding the release of Venom: Let There Be Carnage, and Matrix 4. In additional, Part 3 has been having a hard time with seconde Venom film, primarily because the film will be releasing around the time Part 3 will be releasing.
