I recently had this conversation. Someone had asked me about a good book series and (already knowing that they liked fantasy) I recommended TMI. When it came up that it was a YA story, their reply was "Oh, no. That's too much like [Twilight]. Are there any other good series? Ones that aren't young adult?"

It's not the first time this has happened :/

Every YA Book in the History of the World is better than Twilight

I mean,seriously not every book in this world is like Twilight. And especially TMI, it doesn't resemble Twilight one bit except for the werewolves and vampires but the story is still different all together.

People do this too much.

They bring Twilight into it when it doesn't need to be. I'm a Twilight fan and I'm fed up of seeing this, honestly, quite pointless comparison being made with every YA series. TMI has a completely different premise, there is no need to compare it to any other series.
