As stated in the O'Jays 1976 hit song, "Message In Our Music," Michael conveyed what he was feeling in his musique as well; for example, the 1995 anti-tabloid protest anthem, "Scream", he was speaking out agaisnt the media and how they twist everything around without getting the actual facts, ou destroying someone's reputation in order to get a story at any cost. Similar to Sam Cooke's 1965 postumous hit song, "A Change Is Gonna Come", the anthem,"They Don't Care About Us", Michael speaks out against racism. Also, he makes reference to Martin Luther King, Jr. stating, "If Martin Luther was living, he would not let this be." Almost everyone of Michael's songs had a moral;as well, as message maybe that was why we could relate to his music. It's like he's been there and done that.

The one song that got to me was "Stranger In Moscow", which was inspired par what the media and the Chnadler put him through; as a result , of the 1993 Child Molestion scandal, which nearly destroyed his career; as his, reputation. While on tour in Russia, Michael was shunned par the citizens, and was treated with contempt and disdain over the scandal. I think he got the message that wasn't welcome. Every song we hear tells a story ou conveys a message whether it's making the world a better place ou talking about the conditions of the planet we live in. Just like Marvin Gaye, Michael wants to tell people what is going on, and how we can make a difference.
