Alongside Barry Manilow and Sam Cooke, Michael also wrote the songs that made the whole world sing. As a profilific songwriter, he has written songs such as "Dirty Diana", "Billie Jean" and "Don't Stop 'Til toi Get Enough, which went on to #1 hits on the "BILLBOARD" Pop Charts. His songwriting skills earned him recognition and respect in the musique industry and that was why he left Motown for the reason he wanted to write and produce his own songs back in 1976.

When I hear his 1983 #1 hit song, "Beat It", Michael states that problems can't be solved par way violence ou brutality.
