Rachel had sneaked out of the bedroom before Robb could wake up. Before doing so she'd spent the better part of an heure just watching him sleep, thinking about what might ou might not happen between them in the future. What would happen to her once they got back to Westeros? Would Robb let her go? Would he tell her not to go? Would he forbid her to go? Any option seemed as likely as the last one. At that point Rachel found herself thinking about her brother, Tyrion. He would have an answer. He had an answer to everything.
Rachel headed for the kitchen, taking some bread, honey, butter, milk, boiled eggs and bacon with her.
"All for you?" she turned around to see Inés looking at her with an amused look on her face.
"No. I, uh... It's for me and Robb." Rachel smiled. "I thought we might have breakfast in bed. Do toi mind?"
"Of course not", Inés shook her head. "I'm glad you're happy."
"And when I come back, we'll talk about that frown on your face", Rachel a dit as she headed out.
When Rachel reached the bedroom, Robb was still fast asleep, so she laid the nourriture on the table, tableau par the lit and curled back under the covers, suivant to Robb. And before she knew it, she was asleep again.
Inés was a bit worried as she headed back to the bedroom. When she'd gotten to the room, Daario had already been asleep on his side of the lit (because yes, there was only one in both rooms), and Inés hadn't dared to wake him, but now as she got to the room, she stopped in her tracks. Daario was in the room, shirtless, in the middle of getting dressed.
"My queen", he didn't sound embarrassed, but Inés certainly was. She turned to look away as he put on a shirt, and felt the blush creep up to her cheeks. She was a queen. She shouldn't be shy like this.
"Are toi alright?" she soon found Daario standing right in front of her.
"You... toi missed dinner. toi must be starving", Inés said.
"I am a bit hungry, I'll admit", Daario nodded.
"Dine with me, then."
"Alright", Daario smiled and followed Inés out of the room.
They sat down at the table, tableau and watched as the cooks brought in the courses. Even for breakfast the Queen was donné the very best.
"Your Friends aren't joining us?" Daario asked.
"I think they're busy right now", Inés smiled.
"So I suppose your master plan worked", Daario a dit as he took a sip of wine.
"Yes, it did", Inés couldn't help but to feel a bit proud. "Rachel is my friend but sometimes she doesn't understand what's good for her. And she's awfully impatient."
"I've noticed", Daario said. "But forgive me, I'm not certain if it was a good decision to set these two together."
"Why not?" Inés raised her eyebrows.
"From what you've told me about their families, they would never accept the union. And in Westeros what seems to matter the most is family. So they will most likely never find true happiness together", Daario said. "Not a lasting one."
Inés blinked. Where was this all coming from? "You don't know that."
"I don't?"
"No. They can get married without... without their parent's say in it. It's not unheard of. I must say, I am surprised at your point of view, Daario."
"And why is that, my queen?" Daario smiled a little.
"You've always in the past expressed your interest towards love."
"But what is l’amour if not something that will last forever?"
"And that is what they'll have. A forever", Inés was starting to feel they were no longer talking about Robb and Rachel, but her and Daario.
"Perhaps", Daario a dit after a moment of silence. "Perhaps not."
After a moment of silence Inés spoke. She had to ask it, because if she would not do so now, she never would. "Daario?"
"Yes, my queen?" he looked up at her.
"Why haven't toi kissed me?"
Daario didn't seem surprised at the question. But what surprised Inés was his answer. "Because I do not wish to lose you."
"You're not going to lose me!" Inés a dit in disbelief. "Why would toi say that?"
"Because of everything we just spoke of", Daario a dit as he got up from his seat, walking over to her. "To me l’amour is real, it is eternal. It's not to be gambled with."
"But isn't taking risks a big part of love? I thought toi were a gambler", Inés pointed out.
"I am. Which is why I'm doing this", Daario leaned forwards, pulling Inés in for a kiss. It took her off guard for a moment, but when she got over the initial shock, she wrapped her arms around his neck and returned the Kiss with passion.
Just as things were heating up, the door to the room entered and the servants stumbled to back out of the room again. They had come to take away the plates, but realized to step away.
"Terrible, terrible timing", Daario whispered as he pulled away a little from Inés. "Shall we, my queen?"
"Shall we what?" Inés smiled as she stood up as well.
"Continue this in our room", Daario a dit as he took her hand.
"What about all those things toi a dit about l’amour and relationships?"
"Perhaps I changed my mind", Daario smirked as he held her hand tighter, leading her out of the room. "Perhaps toi changed my mind."
Inés couldn't help but to smile as she followed him.
