Let Me Explain!
-Bon Appetit: I love Katy Perry but the lyrics are just gross. Not her finest hour, sorry.
-One More Try: Can you say autotuned? Plus half the video is of her young, I don't get it and George Michael, who I adore, is mainly singing instead of her. The whole duet makes no sense.
-Look What You Made Me Do: Now I love Taylor but the song felt all over the place for me. I understood where she was going with it but I felt lost plus the video was distracting and a bit too disturbing for my BP but hey, good for her :)
-Boy In The Pictures (Remix): Yeah, Ikr! Let me explain, the original was way better. The remix imo just alters his beautiful voice too much. Basically it proves why Mitch should never and can't be autotuned. Luv u Mitch!
- Happy X-Mas (War Is Over): I think this is self explanatory. Yikes!
-(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction: Um, a Georgia raised, married family man best known for soul music doing British Invasion rock... mmm, maybe not? Nice try, though :)
-Sweater Weather: I love PTX but a song about somebody feeling someone up thru the holes of their sweaters gives me the creepies! ewwww!!!!! And also how is this a Christmas song?
-Applause: Luv Lady Gaga, luv her music, luv her message but this was not her best, imo.
-The Day We Fall In Love: Tbh, I need insulin after listening to this! *lol* Also it's not really a song, it's just talking in your ear for two minutes. *shrugs*
-Brown Sugar: I used to like this song but when I found out the lyrics was about slavery and the treatment of women in slavery that was it! Not only no but HELL no! Like how does this even get pass all these years!? Ugh!!!! Just wrong on so many levels! And what's worse it sounds happy! Seriously!!!!??? Disgusting!

Out of all the Taylor Swift songs I know so far, this is the only one I really didn't like - not really what I expect or want to hear from her, I guess. Not my type of music, either. Although it does have the makings of a fair villain theme song, so there is that!
I wonder now what perspective the Rolling Stones were writing from when they wrote the lyrics to "Brown Sugar" - I'm not very familiar with the song, so I couldn't make a guess myself. But in my opinion there's nothing wrong with writing about something awful when you actually portray it as such; the trouble comes when you make the awful behaviour out to be acceptable or even desirable. Sort of like the difference between giving these behaviours to a villain character and giving them to the hero, you know.

Well I had an awful flood in the kitchen from the bathroom ..my goodness it never rains for me but it pours *lol* !

Ok, I changed my vote after reading the comments because I too was unaware of what Brown Sugar was about. Disgusting, but at least it makes me happy that a song like that would never be released nowadays.

Hmm... Yeah, it's really hard to say, from the "Brown Sugar" lyrics, whether there was any sort of protest in it, or whether they just thought it was a cool topic for a song and didn't think through what they were actually saying.

I don't think the Rolling Stones were ever really a protest group but I yeah, I don't think they thought this thru either, I mean maybe it was shock value? But at least now they know and have stopped singing it so I guess that's something.
