Digital Dish Diva says: Kelli, welcome to MSN Live! It's a pleasure to have toi here.
Kelli Williams says: Sorry, I'm late. Hi, Everyone!
Digital Dish Diva says: We have lots of audience questions, so let's get started!
mysterygirl198 in Onstage1 asks: Do toi feel the montrer deals realistically with issues in the law field?
Kelli Williams says: Since I'm not a real attorney, I'm not sure that we do. Although all of our writers try to write with the law in mind. We are télévision though so we can embellish for télévision sake.
Aberfitch_9 in Onstage3 asks: Are there any significant events that will be happening for Lindsey soon, and if there are could toi tell us?
Kelli Williams says: This Sunday is a big episode for her. She befriends a homeless guy and helps him out. It's nice to see her out of the court. It's been a little plus human this season for her, not all traverser, croix examination and arguments. We don't know story lines that are coming up until we read them a few days before filming, so they keep us in the dark also.
aroz4u in Onstage1 asks: Hi Kelli. I never miss an episode of "The Practice." Watch all the reruns on FX channel. Is "The Practice" your first series? How did your career begin?
Kelli Williams says: "The Practice" is officially my seconde series. I did "New York News" about 7 years il y a with Mary Tyler Moore and Madeline Kahn. It had Lou Grant written all over it. It was my first taste of television. I avoided télévision for a while because I felt like I would be stuck on TV forever. That was just me at 19, and now at 31 I don't think it's that bad to have that steady job. My career began out of high school. I decided to take a an off of college to see if I could get work. I was conning myself with that because I knew I just wanted to act. I did it one job at a time and did one called "Day par Day." I was pretty lucky and got jobs pretty easily. I just have to get back to college one day.
Digital Dish Diva says: What would your major be?
Kelli Williams says: Probably psychology. I took an online psychology course last an and it was fantastic. I was pregnant. In fact, each time I was pregnant I took an extension class. With my son it was Spanish and my daughter it was psychology. It was a really fun way of learning.
FrightfulPoet1 in Onstage1 asks: What would toi like to happen with the characters of Lindsay on the show?
Kelli Williams says: I don't know. I would say, lighten up. I find that she's too serious. I would like to explore the lighter side of her. With her relationship with Bobby, I'd like to see open up more.
DaMan1976 in Onstage1 asks: Which episode was your favorite, and which was your most challenging?
Kelli Williams says: My most challenging was episode 3 of the first season. It was a 7 page opening argument. It was like a one act! Talk about scaring the hell out of me! I think I spoke for 15 minutes straight. It was endless.
Kelli Williams says: My favori episode? It's funny I forget my favori ones right after I do them. It's like I just déplacer on to the suivant dialogue. One of my favoris was early this an where I defended a boy. I wanted him to take a deal and he didn't do it. I got him to plead guilty when he wasn't. That was like the third ou fourth episode this season and I liked it a lot.
Luna312 in Onstage4 asks: Hi Kelli. I l’amour "The Practice." Great show. Is the montrer going to be addressing any of the current events going on terrorism ou anthrax threats?
Kelli Williams says: Actually we're doing something about that very thing. I don't know the specifics about it because they were doing a rewrite when I left but I think it's an Arab man that has been detained and his wife is trying to get him out of prison. So we will address it. I have a scene where we talk about it. It's a very fine line addressing it through television. It's so close to home, toi have to be careful. I think "The West Wing" is handling it very tastefully. Being a télévision show, we're there to allow people to escape reality. I'm sure it's a big discussion on whether ou not to address it on a show.
Mickey_0507 in Onstage4 asks: I was a big fan of the old Mickey souris Club and I was wondering if that was toi in one of the old Club Movies?
Kelli Williams says: I think that I did a movie that I had no idea was part of the Mickey souris Club. I played in a Disney movie once, so the answer is yes.
Adidas_Girrrl in Onstage1 asks: Kelli, I'm a Pro tennis player and wonder if toi ever play in any charity pro celebrity tennis events?
Kelli Williams says: I was a really good tennis player as a kid. I would get up and practice and play often. I would l’amour to play in a charity event, but I would have to brush up on my serve. It's never been my strongest.
allie_86 in Onstage1 asks: Is it hard juggling your kids and work?
Kelli Williams says: Well yeah, but it's not as hard as I think it is for women that don't get to take their kids to work with them. I think I'm a little schizophrenic sometimes when I have to memorize my lines, but it's great. It's worth being a little extra tired.
letsrock20200 in Onstage1 asks: Kelli, how many hours a jour do toi spend on the set?
Kelli Williams says: Depends on the episode. If I'm heavy in an episode, it's usually a good 14 heure day. If I'm in one ou two, it's about 6 ou 7 hours.
tya_86 in Onstage2 asks: What is something toi do to relax yourself and just have fun?
Kelli Williams says: I have massages. I don't know if fun is involved. Relaxation is involved. I think it's kid oriented fun for me. So, I like to take my kids to the beach.
Stealthˆ in Onstage1 asks: toi do a lot of drama. Have toi ever been asked to do a comedic role?
Kelli Williams says: I am doing an episode of "Scrubs" at the moment. I usually don't do any other jobs because I don't have the time. I'm not sure when it will air though.
ShiftingHawk4 in Onstage1 asks: Do toi play tricks on each other at the set and if toi do what kind?
Kelli Williams says: toi know, we don't really play tricks. Steve Harris likes to sing which is amusing, and he gives out hugs when he gets on the set. The thing is, if toi start with something, toi never know what's going to come your way. Like if toi start making up lines. I don't know if I could handle it. We have some really funny sound guys that are known for dropping their shorts during a serious scene.
britt_199 in Onstage2 asks: Was jouer la comédie one of toi original goals and if toi weren't doing that, what would toi want to be doing?
Kelli Williams says: I've always known I wanted to be an actress. Putting on plays was so fun for me although I didn't start until 18 on purpose.
LastUnderdog in Onstage2 asks: Hi, I'm from Finland. Do toi know the Finnish name for your show?
Kelli Williams says: I don't.
TheTurgidOne in Onstage1 asks: Are lawyers really that smart?
Digital Dish Diva says: Do toi have lawyers on the set?
Kelli Williams says: We have lawyers on the set and I have a cousin that is a lawyer that I can talk to about law. I guess it's like everybody. There are some smart ones and some that toi wonder how they passed the bar. All the writers on our montrer are great, David E. Kelly is a freak of nature. (laughs) He's SO smart.
tya_86 in Onstage2 asks: It is almost Thanksgiving. Do toi have any special plans?
Kelli Williams says: Thanksgiving just with my in-laws in Hawaii. It's our annual thing. It's really nice.
Truxter1 in Onstage4 asks: Do toi feel as if toi have/are losing/lost any privacy since toi have become an actor/actress? I mean can toi still go to your accueil town and eat at your favori restaurant without being hassled?
Kelli Williams says: I grew up in L.A. so it's always been weird. Well not weird, but L.A. is very much "Hollywood sceney." I don't consider my life to be any different. Sometimes people come up to me. I try to explain that I know a lot of people to my son. I guess toi lose some privacy. I'm still trying to figure that all out. I don't know how to handle it. I don't like my son to see me on television. He saw me one time when he was 2 and it was very weird for him because he was in L.A. and I was in N.Y. on a talk show.
FEFE_4 in Onstage2 asks: Who inspires toi to act? Do toi have a role model that toi look up to as an actress? I l’amour your jouer la comédie so much! Good luck!
Kelli Williams says: Thank you. My mother was an actress for many years, not very well known, but a working actress. I knew toi didn't always get the job, and she was my guide. She didn't help me get into the business, but I did look up to her. I also like Cate Blanchett. Right now, there's a lot of good actrices out there.
allie_86 in Onstage1 asks: What is the best thing about working on a montrer like the practice?
Kelli Williams says: The consistency of work. We get along very well. It's a mellow environment and it's nice, jour after jour to be involved with something good as opposed to just a job.
clate1999 in Onstage2 asks: Kelli, do toi think
toi will grow tired of that good looking Bobby? If so I live in Louisiana!
Kelli Williams says: (laughs) That's so nice. I don't grow tired of it.
Kelli Williams says: It's pretty fun though working with all 9 regulars. We get to work with different ones, so it's like a new thing. I don't always look at Bobbie.
Digital Dish Diva says: Kelli, thanks for joining us tonight on MSN Live from Hawaii!
Digital Dish Diva says: Happy Thanksgiving from all of your fans!
Kelli Williams says: Thanks for tuning in. Sorry I couldn't answer plus questions. Aloha!
