Actually, the Southern Water Tribe has more of a modern lifestyle, and there really isn't any royalty in the Southern Water Tribe, so Katara and Sokka are still considered mere peasants. :/

Well I say she is a princess she has what a princess should have beauty brain talent kindness goodness careing and love and disney made Mulan a official princess and she has no royal tides while Katara has some royal tides

yes katara is the princess because she has courage in herself and she never gives up.

Yue's dad was chief so Yue was a princess. Hakoda's chief, therefore, Katara's a princess

I really don't think so, I mean yeah Arnook and Hakoda are chiefs, but Hakoda's mother, Kana, isn't royalty, therefore, Hakoda isn't, and therefore, Katara and Sokka aren't royalty. Arnook on the other hand is royalty cuz he probably has some royalty in the family and therefore, Yue is a Princess. But just cuz Hakoda is the Chief, that doesn't make him a King, Cheifs are more like leaders, not Kings, King is like a title, Cheif...yeah....but not in a royal kind of way...

No. She's not. She grew up in the water tribe doing a lot of work without a mother. Yeah she likes girly things unlike Toph but she thinks of the good of others and works hard. GO KATARA!
