There was a noise coming from outside. I sat up and saw a crowd of people. They were waving pitchforks and torches.

I jumped out of my lit and left my room. I walked into Alec’s and mother was throwing things in a bag. Alec was changing out of his night clothes. “What’s going on?” I demanded from my mother.
