Torchwood works because it isn't family friendly, it's raw and edgy and a bunch of other buzz words. I remember hearing that there would be a regular and edited version. Not good news.

I could take James as the new focus. That would be ok with me. Yup, I've thought it over and I would be very willing to accept Capt. John as the new central character but I don't see how it will work without John. When they switched over Doctors on Who they had Rose to hold it together and maybe they think Gwen and Ianto will work like that. I'll really miss Jack/Ianto every week and as much as I adore Gwen she was never my favorite. Sad moment, calls for frowny face. :(

It really isn't. Torchwood was good cause it wasn't family friendly. They were so concerned about Buffy in season six and little kids they cut a lot of good scenes out from that to.

I'm just afraid they will cut it too far. It seems much dirtier to me than season six was. Also, I have dailies for season six so I kind of feel that I avoided alot of the chopping.
