Ichabod grue, crane Sleepy Hollow Question

Back in New york

Does anyone here thought about this:

What would Ichabod say against his superiors when he was back in New York?
No one would believe it...
Especially when someone who doesn't believe in Ghosts and that kind of stuff told his superior that it was a headless horseman.

I like to know what toi people here think about this.
