It's pretty much unavoidable seeing as it's being held all the way up Main St. and the book store is controlling the events.

Might as well party since it's something to do until the book is sold.

i have always loved harry potter, but i am not flamboyant about it. the people who go to the partys around st louis are, really much so. i went to one at borders for OotP and i was the only person not in costume. i was terrified someone i knew would see me, and i proceded to walmart to get my book, seeing that it was 2:00 and i still hadnt gotten it. there were like a group of people chanting about how sexy they think snape is. unfortunaly that little experiance has turned me off HP partys forever
