so a weird thing just happened: mum told me to go set the table, and so I did, and then there was this fit young guy in a leather jacket standing at the top of the kitchen stairs.
I was like, O_o. Then I saw the old paunchy guy and realised they were construction workers who'd come to give an estimate. -_-
but this just proves my theory: construction guys are always either young and fit or old and paunchy -- ALWAYS.

@alex: lol, I wish! At most British schools, prefects are selected from Year 10, who will go on to be second in command to staff etc. We help out with year 7's/visitors and general day-to-day tasks.

lolmuchas well... it was activity week in my school and I chose bell boating and so after getting into the bell boat we had a race with another team and we all had to stand up in my boat, and then I helped someone else up and ended up losing my balance and falling backwards out of the boat ... xD

yeah they were all like "What on EARTH are you doing in the water?" I told them I was searching for magic medallions that could get them all to help me OUT of the bloody water...

they told me I was weird xD

My most embarassing moment (told because a: I want to, and b: Laughing about it makes it less awful):

So, at my school we have awards ceremonies just before Christmas and at the end of the year. Because we have a small building and lots of pupils, we hae to sit- cross-legged and cramped- on the hard floor of the sports hall.
Last awards-thingy, I was called up for a certificate about my 100% attendance. I wasn't aware, but my leg had gone numb or something because I'd been sat down for about an hour.
When I stood up, I kind of fell over ever so slightly and had to limp up to the Headteacher.
All of Year 7, 8, 9 and some of 10 saw this event, plus about 3/4 of the staff. I died a bit inside.

That's kind of what I did afterwards. I genuinely find it funny now, though. Just a bit cring-worthy.
