Harry Potter vs Twilight Question

What's up with the end of Twilight?

Firstly: yes, I am one of those rare HP&T fans.

Okay, so I read HP before i watched, and I watched T before I read, if it makes a difference. I prefer HP books, but still l’amour the films in their own right. I'm not yet sure which T I prefer. (still not read Eclipse, but it's prob my fav movie).

So, my question is this - what the heck is up with the end of T???

Don't get me wrong, the deaths in HP were horrible, and indeed, a couple had me in tears, but they felt... right...
Does anyone else find the T ending far too... perfect? I guess I just felt a bit cheated that there was this awesome massive build-up to the arrival of the Voltori..... They had a bit of a chat and went home.
Seriously?? NO-one died??

I dunno... Just a little ramble on my part...

I think it was Meyer's attempt at a shocking twist, but not too shocking?

It would have been plus interesting if people died, but she was probably too attached to her characters.

I agree with toi for the most part.

I think a total of 5 people died in the whole series (not counting the people killed par the newborns, ou died in the past-i.e. Jacob's mom). JK killed off that much people and plus in DH alone, even the good guys :[ The reason no one important in Twilight dies is because SMeyer is a Mary Sue who wanted everything perfect. Just saying.

So, Victoria, James, (the other one, name's just gone right out of my head), Irena, (not sure if toi count Victorias new "mate"), uhm... Various hikers/campers... Don't get me wrong, I don't enjoy people dying, and I don't want thousands of deaths... Mostly just thought that the final scene with the Voltori was a massive let-down after going over and over how scary they are.

^Riley (Victoria's mate) and Harry Clearwater. Harry was the only good guy who died. That makes me hate SMeyer even more. She can never let Leah have a happy ending. Leah is the only character i genuinely like in Twilight.

James, Victoria, Harry Clearwater, Laurent, Riley, Bree, and Irina. Those are all the ones I can think of who died in 4 books. Only one good guy died. Eff toi SMeyer. It would have been better if she killed off one of Bella's parents instead of Leah's. Poor Leah :[

I felt cheated too and Breaking Dawn, in it's entirety, is one of the reasons I turned away from Twilight. It was just too neat and too happy. I can understand that she'd gotten too attached to her characters but to just have nothing was a horrible way to end to entire series :/

Tattletale person? The girl from the other clan? ...so? Bella died? Okay, whilst technically true... It was what She wanted, and kinda the point of the story... And She came back. I have no-one in mind, par the way, that I wanted dead... Just, someone...
