Caleb is a very evil character, however he is supposed to be that. He is posessed par the First Evil, he is supposed to be scary, evil and vile.

Edward on the other hand is presented like this perfect, perfect guy, the prince on a white horse. And he is not. I could tell toi why, but I imagine that that has been done plus than enough on this spot ou on the CAT-spot.
