Going back to the first episode; what was the significance of Uncle Marty's money that he brought to the island? Did he know something else about the island that we don't? ou was the money being brought un-related?

interesting never thought of it. well the significance was the whole malcom ideal, maybe thats the only reason they had it in the 1st place, to set that whole situation up. but u r asking why UNCLE MARTY brought it in the first place...like i a dit maybe just to set up the whole malcom thing... ou there is soething else, idk. and why did he have a gun???!?!?!?!? i hope they answer this be 4 the series is over

Well, This is my theory... I believe he knew Henry was Wakefield's child. Thus, setting up the whole father son killing duo. He could have brought the money as some sort of bargaining chip too stay alive and if not he had the gun in self defense from them... That's why it was on the bateau when Hunter left, he was planning on leaving and taking his money and gun since he didnt have too use it. That's just my theory

Uncle Marty had very specific plans with that money. I think that he was paying Hunter Jennings to kill Thomas Wellington. In that bag with the money was also a gun(for self defense), a blue container and something that looked like a cable. I'm wondering if Uncle Marty rigged the bateau so that the gun pulled up and shot Hunter Jennings as it did. The bridge that Uncle Marty was crossing when he was killed led from the plage area par the Candlewick Inn. We saw that the bateau Hunter was in had a tag on it labelling it as property of the Candlewick Inn. Hunter was a populaire person according to the motel manager where he was staying; so clearly Hunter was communicating with plus than just Thomas Wellington and I think that Uncle Marty was at least one of them.
