I don't think it's weird. I mean it's obvious Dan loves V, and vice versa. She's just using Paul - or maybe it was Peter? Who cares? - as an excuse to not be with him, just like's he's using him as an excuse too. Besides, I love Natie's face in that scene when Dan didn't accept the invitation.

This would not be happening in real life. It bugs me how in TV shows they do this. They'll ignore a couple was ever together and then all of a sudden they'll bring it up again when necessary.
