Girls\' Generation\'s Yuri transforms into a Cali girl for \'Cosmopolitan\'

Girls\' Generation\'s Yuri flew to Los Angeles, California for a fall photo shoot for \'Cosmopolitan\'.

In the alluring pictorial, Yuri flaunts the \'no-pants\' look, which she pulls off with a khaki parka and a flannel clutch. The Girls\' Generation member left her idol smiles behind as she stared straight into the camera, leaving viewers mesmerized by her dreamlike gaze. 

Reps from \'Cosmopolitan\' say that out of all the Girls\' Generation members, Yuri fits best with the preferred image of the magazine because she is healthy, energetic, and not to mention, sexy.

Why is it that fashion photographers seem to hate having their models smile.  I guess they figure it might distract from the clothes, or that fashion is serious business so there is no smiling in fashion.  I will never for the life of me understand why photographers hire so many models with beautiful smiles and then have them frown and pout their way through an entire shoot like they have been condemned to death row killing their ex-boyfriend, suicidally depressed, or have no feelings except utter robotic neutrality where if you stuck them with a knitting needle they would not react in any manner as it causes neither pleasure nor pain.  When you have someone as pretty as Yuri is when she is smiling, use it.
