He should have told Lorelai about it as soon as it happened!!

I think he was just confused and didn't know what to do.

as frustrating as it was, it was a hard thing for Luke- he learned that if he let Lorelai too close to April, he would lose April. You always choose your child over anything else

I agree he needed to tell Lorelai right away.

I just hated that plot line in general so I'm not going to pick.

I hated the whole daughter thing. She was fine closer to the end of the series but it was completely wrong in the fact that Luke had a daughter. Impossible, Anna was never mentioned before, only one of Luke's girlfriends was ever mentioned.

But there's more to it than that. He admits later on that he didn't handle it well and I think anyone would be thrown/confused in that situation.

But I get why he didn’t know how to handle it and was pushing her away
