I think it promoted tolerance. I mean, they were two public figures, as they were a pretty popular group, and they had songs about lesbians, and constantly promoted support for gays and gay rights.

Yes, it was just a gimmick, but the girls genuinely do believe in gay rights, and I think they sent good messages.

I've never heard about them, but if they are showing there's nothing wrong with gays or lesbians that's a good thing then! If any of you see the music video for "I Want To Break Free" by Queen, it is awesome! They're dressed up in drag, and Freddie is so cool, because he had a moustache at the time! I love that video!
