I appreciated the fact that they tried something different. "An act of true love" was a much unexpected direction for me, personally. When Anna froze, I just assumed Kristoff would kiss her anyway and the spell would break. So, I'm happy with that twist of events.

It's always a kiss, but I'm fine with it. It's also cool that it teaches kids that true love can also be family.

I appreciate more the love/bond between sisters than relying on the kiss to fix everything. It was way more touching that way.

I really loved the movie even more for the fact that her sister's love cured her in the end instead of the old cliche of a kiss, very refreshing!!

Meh.. I think they could have done more with Anna saving Elsa scene..

I loved the part and how they twisted the story. First you think its Hans who will save her. No! He turns out to be the villain. Okay Kristoff's there but now Anna froze into solid. And eventually Elsa saves her!

However, I still didn't like that what resolved the movie was love. I think this is also overused. After building up such a dramatic plot, it all resolves in everyone being , like, " Oh, love is the solution to everything! ". No, it' s not that simple. I think it would be better if Elsa and Anna had a conversation after stopping Hans, like, talking about them as a family and how to resolve Elsa' s internal conflict, with them deciding to try help Elsa learn to control her powers. Afterwards, there might have been the defrosting of the kingdom, Olaf gaining his very own cloud, or it could' ve just ended with Anna and Elsa reconciling, making the rest of things open to speculation. I just find the contrast between the drama in the whole movie and the rather sugary ending rather unsettling. Conflicts that have been for many years aren' t just easily resolved in one moment by some simple words. I still love Frozen though, but I believe the ending could have been done better.

@QWElaine: I agree. I think a better message would've been Elsa realizing that she could control her powers by not being afraid of them. Even though that was an underlying message, I think it should've been more centered around just that instead.
