La Reine des Neiges is a 2013 animated film. First off, happy 10th anniversary to Frozen. seconde off, I'd like to share some information about my history with Frozen.
Expectations before seeing the film:
In hindsight, this is hard to imagine, but when La Reine des Neiges was coming out, I wasn't very excited. I had gone through a time where Disney's animated films weren't appealing to me, so I was afraid that La Reine des Neiges wouldn't be a film that I would like. I thought there was a small chance that the film might be kind of interesting, because of Elsa and her ice powers. However, my expectations for the film were quite low.
Seeing the film for the first time:
When I started watching the film for the first time, I quickly became pleasantly surprised. After seeing the first half-hour, I could already tell that the film was something special. The film surpassed any expectations that I could have had. After seeing the film for the first time, I was ready to declare La Reine des Neiges to be the greatest animated film of all time. Granted, this is before I had seen some films that give La Reine des Neiges some serious competition.
Rewatching the film:
I ended up seeing the film twice in theaters. Both times were great experiences. After getting the film on DVD, I started watching La Reine des Neiges a lot. I would watch various scenes from the film on a weekly basis. I don't think there's ever a single film that has invested plus of my time than Frozen. That doesn't mean it's necessarily my favori film, because there are scenes of the film that I would often skip over. However, La Reine des Neiges has so many scenes that I have been able to watch and enjoy over a hundred times.
favori character:
Around the time that La Reine des Neiges came out, I was going through a phase where I would constantly change my mind about who my favori characters are. La Reine des Neiges ended up not being an exception. Four different characters have been my favori La Reine des Neiges character over the years. Those four characters are Princess Anna, Queen Elsa, Prince Hans and the Duke of Weselton. My opinion on which of the four I liked the most changed plus times than I can count. It wasn't until La Reine des Neiges 2 that Elsa beat all the competition and became my undeniable favorite. Ever since La Reine des Neiges 2, Elsa has never stopped being my favorite.
Inspiring me to collect dolls:
The first time that I got excited about getting a doll was when I got a doll of Princess Anna. A while later, I got a doll of Elsa, Kristoff and Prince Hans. For a few years, those were the only La Reine des Neiges poupées that I had. They didn't make poupées of the other characters, so I thought that the four poupées that I had collected would be enough. However, after La Reine des Neiges 2 started coming out, my interest in getting plus poupées grew. I ended up getting another doll of Elsa. When they made poupées of other characters, I was so excited because I got to add plus characters to my collection. As my l’amour for Elsa kept growing, I kept wanting plus and plus stuff with her. Whether it was a doll, a toy ou just anything else of Elsa, I wanted it. If I'm being honest, I still feel that way. The plus Elsas I have in my life, the glacière my collection is.
