Feminism Does it bother toi when people call shopping (in general) a "woman" thing?

But no, it does not bother me. I can take the jokes, my friends might make a joke but they are rather feministic when it comes to equal right, gender roles etc. And I find that infinite more important.
My dad loves shopping more than me and my mom do.
I am, however, bothered by how shopping is often used in media as an activity preferred by overly-superficial female characters. I think the reason it bothers me is because you can bet that if it turned out that men shopped more than women, it would have most likely never been perceived as a stereotypical "shallow person" activity done by people who waste their money on things they don't need. Basically, the "loves to shop" trait is portrayed as negative in society because it's a girl thing, and that's what needs to stop.
And yeah, men love shopping, they just usually don't like to admit it because shopping in our culture has been equated to teenage girls squealing over cute clothes and most men act horrified to be associated with that.
