Yeah, you're like "OH MA GAWD fanpop IS ON DA WIKI!!!!!! MUST EDIT!!!!"
Please. NO. Don't. First off, this exact same article has been deleted numerous times and this one may be short lived as well if toi don't give NOTABLE info to it. écriture things like "LATINLOVER IS DA HOTTEST FANPOPPER" will not get us far. Here are some tips to keeping the article on Wikipedia for good this time:

-Make the article look authentic. Not being a Wikipedia wizz myself I had no idea how to add tables and the like to the article. If you're experienced at Wiki-ing it would be obliged very much if toi give the article some nice looking details and improve the global, ensemble writing.

-Chek yore speling nd gramerr!!!1 If dey think were a bnch of dofuses (nd a large majrity of us arn't) ths artikl will bee gon in a flash!

-Make the article longer and add plus facts to it, such as things toi can do on the website and some history about it's creation.

Please listen to these tips- they're not guidelines-because if toi don't help make this article good it won't last long. This is a chance to give fanpop some notability and it's up to us!

germany123 yeah i mentioned that in the appropriate places..that the faqs need an update. anway..props are not higher or lower than medals. props are given by users and medals are awarded by the site http://www.fanpop.com/spots/fanpop/articles/7856 you cant say one is "better" or means more..they are just different.

astroasis I don't know... I think the entire Wiki page reads more like a gigantic ad for the site than an actual unbiased and informative article about the site. This could be part of the reason why it keeps being deleted. The "Commercial" section is the worst in this respect. It comes off as spam geared at selling adspace. And that the majority of the article consists of "site reception" (which, in turn, is mostly quotes from users repeating the same ideas about how much they like the site) doesn't help, either. Also, I think the "popular picks" need to go. They may seem popular to you guys, but the majority of the site is probably more interested in non-popper-related picks. The majority of the picks on this site are about TV shows, movies, characters, opinions, etc - not about a handful of popular users. This "section" is mis-representing the site itself and may even turn people off. I see this article getting deleted again soon. I'm just saying.

Cammie Okay, I've checked it again and I must say it doesn't look too bad but I do agree in part with what astro said. I think,at this point, DoctorSpud should send out an SOS to the F4 for some assistance. Personally I think it would be a shame if the article was deleted again but I do see that happening if different users keep on going backwards and forward, editing and deleting content.

Cammie Very good thinking DrS, I think we need to get some sort of stragedy going here. In the 24 hours or so that article has been up it's been altered numerous times. My problem with that is that it makes us (Fanpop) look unprofessional. hm: Camsterdam? I like it, dude!

Spotty_Vision21 Uh, I changed the higher/lower thing on props/medals a while ago... why are we still talking about it?

astroasis What kind of hyperlinks did you want to add? Any address you put in will immediately become a link - but to make it a text link, you have to put it in square brackets and add the text into the brackets. It looks silly, but it would go like this: [http://www.fanpop.com/ Fanpop Main Page] and it would give you a link to fanpop.com with the text "Fanpop Main Page" Of course, there's different ways to link to other Wikipedia pages and to link to references. The example above is mostly just for the External Links section or other similar uses. I guess it would help if I knew what you wanted to link.

As with any web site, fanpop is only as good as its content. Some content - what I think of as the soul of the site - is generated par users in the fora and in commentaires on the rest of the content and cannot be rated. But the rest of the content - the body of the site - has a ratings system. The whole principle of the ratings system is a democratic one: if enough people vote, the really qualified items rise to the top. Have toi ever wanted to act like a total jerk on Fanpop? Piss people off, lose your fans, drive everyone crazy, and maybe even get banned, toi just weren’t sure how? Here’s a handy guide on how to do exactly that!

1. Disrespect other people’s opinions. Yeah, toi think that band XYZ sucks and toi wouldn’t touch one of their CD’s with a ten-foot pole, and you’re going to assume that everyone on the planet shares your sentiment. Who cares if some people might not appreciate toi going on about how the lead singer looks like a bald gorilla and sings like a cat throwing up? They should...

Giving Back To fanpop

So we, as users, take a lot from fanpop every day. We watch videos, we take quiz's, share awesome links, etc. We all have gained something from Fanpop, whether it be a funny video, ou a cool new website. So I was thinking that perhaps maybe once a month, if even that, a mass majority (as many users we can get) would all add one thing. Whether it be a video, a quiz, a soapbox, ou even just a link, we would all be giving back. I was thinking that it could be the first of every month. Maybe even a time could be assigned to that date, which would allow other users to get to know each other and thread the community together. Perhaps at Four PM EST, we would all add something to Fanpop. I know many of toi add items everyday but this would let less-contributing users thoughts be heard. These users could become hooked on fanpop and then that's +1 plus dedicated fan. I don't know if this would take off, but if it does, it could be great. Please just leave a comment.

After creating my link spot and noting the severe lack of members, curiosity got me to searching for spots on fanpop that only had a single member (generally, their creator).

I came across spots that were months old and still only had a single member such as Chel's link spot, harold's link spot, ou berly's link spot. And I thought to myself, these spots were created to meet other fans and yet there appeared to be no other fans of these topics on all of fanpop? Ridiculous! Or... maybe it's true.

Some of the one-fan spots seemed very obscure (to me, at least), so it's quite possible that there...

Porn!

...OMG PORN! No, just kidding. I wanted toi to click this article.

We all know (or at least I hope we know) that fanpop is a porn-free, happy, rainbow-colored PG-13 land. (whether toi like it ou not is not the topic of discussion here - we shall accept it as it is)
What's great is that we can still manage to have a sex spot and a breast spot which are clean. No pictures of nipples, no porn gifs, no hardcore anal porn videos.
Good.

Now what's the bad part?
I've seen it rather often lately that some user just mentioned words like "porn" ou "nudity" and a very angry mob of users was ready to drown...

Since about 2008. So like 7 years.

Once Upon A Time, Avatar The Last Airbender, Music, I kind of just float all over the place.

It used to be Winx, we were like one big family. Now I like probably the Avatar spot the most ou the Once spot.

Polls and images. But I mostly derp around in votes so.

I used to be known for my obsession with Bellatrix not just on the HP spot but in aléatoire and other places. On the Winx...
