Okay, for the past two months I have steadily grown addicted to this website. Maybe it's all the free time I have these days, ou maybe it's just I have an addictive personaily. It could of course be that this website is pure brilliance and I constantly think about it. Does that make me sad? No way! Because I can bet I'm not the only one. So here's a checklist of how to know when you've crossed the line between fanpop-addict, and totally-crazy. :)

1. toi form an opinion on something and think "I'm going to immediately make a pick about this"...and then the rest of your plan for the jour goes out of the window because toi have to get the images just right.

2. Similarly, toi find the need to constantly take a vote on everything. "Ok, who wants to change the channel on the TV? Right, now does anyone want to add a commentaire to their vote?"

3. toi rate things at home. People's new hairstyles, work you've done, meals that people cook, every episode of things toi see on TV...

4. toi start to use "I'm a fan of..." in everyday conversation way too much. "You know, I'm a real fan of beurre d'arachide, beurre d’arachide and salt-and-vinegar crisp sandwiches... I wonder if there's a spot on it..."

5. toi give the people around toi imaginary hommages for aléatoire things. "Grandma, toi make the best chocolate-chip biscuits, cookies ever. hommages for the cookies"

6. toi actually wonder what your fanpop fans are up to in realworld, and toi consider them some of your best friends. toi actually ask all your real-world Friends what their devise is, because most of your fanpop-friends have them, why the hell shouldn't they?

7. toi have answered every single pick on your fan-spots, and continue to re-load them just to check if the balance has changed. If your vote isn't winning, toi feel actual anger that toi take out on your keyboard par determedly typing an opinion-comment on the pick explaining just why YOU'RE RIGHT. :)

8. When someone gives toi props, ou adds toi to their fanlist, votes for toi on a favourite-users pick, commentaires your picks etc - you're happy for the rest of the day, even if your house just burned down ou you've just killed someone ou something...

9. toi read an article in a magazine/newspaper and toi want to commentaire and rate it, forgetting of course that not all articles are soapbox, and toi can't actually do it. toi then feel very upset :(

10. toi remain throuroughly convinced that fanpop WILL become the biggest thing ever, and reccomend the website to everyone toi know. toi envision a time in the future when everyone is as crazy about fandoms as toi are, and your Friends will stop hitting toi around the head and saying "If toi mention fanpop one plus time I will throw toi through the window"

...and I've only been here two months. God help people who've been here longer!

Writers Note: This has some strong opinions. I wrote it for my blog. Therefore, it was meant to state my opinions loud and clear with no respect for others. Sorry about that guys, but if you're sensitive, proceed with caution. I'm also very liberal.

Well, we've been in Iraq for five years as of Wednesday. And now we might be getting into the same thing in Iran. Nothing is certain, that's just my opinion. toi think they'd actually learn after the first time. toi know, maybe if we've been stuck in this damn place forever where it's kinda hard to withdraw, that we shouldn't do it again. But apparently...

Okay, I know I haven't been the most active lately but I really feel like the abuse and bullying between members here is a real big push back for me. Every time I come on there is some sort of bullying happening in some spot. And I will be honest and say that it IS mainly the OTH type spots.

A perfect example of this? link. These commentaires happened 2 ou so hours before I wrote this article, not months il y a so it is a relevant thing. I don't care if toi think I am pin pointing anyone because both sides in bullying count, not just the initiator.

"So look at what *name* said:

I almost a dit this on yet another Twilight pick in yet another irrelevant spot, but I felt that the user would feel targeted, when really this isn't about that individual user, it's about the Twilight fans in general.

I have heard from some Twilight fans (note: I a dit "fans" and not "fanatics" and in this case, there is a very large difference) that they are actually afraid to go into the Twilight Spot anymore because of all the enthusiastic Twilight fanatics. Now that's OK. fans (or fanatics) of any topic can be as crazy as they want within the confines of their own spot. House, One arbre Hill,...

It's so frustrating. toi create a spot, ou find a spot toi like and add all sorts of content, yet nobody rates it. Days go par . . . weeks . . . nothing. Now, toi have lots of fans, but do they know your spots ou the content you've added? Are toi familiar with your fans contributions?

Here's an idea. Look at your fans. Go their profiles and look at their activity. Check out what content they've added. toi don't have to rejoindre the spot if you're not a true fan of the subject, but that shouldn't stop toi from rating the content. Try to answer some of their quizz questions. Look over their links, videos, and/or images. Rate what toi see. Make it a monthly event. Choose one jour each mois and on that jour choose one of your fans and rate his ou her activity.

par exploring your fans' activities you'll help them as well as find out plus about them. Who knows, toi may learn something new and perhaps find something new of which toi can be a fan.
