No, it shouldn't work that way - it's broken behavior. If that still happens, rapporter it using the "Contact us" link at the bottom of any page. As at any time toi soumettre a report, try to be as detailed as possible: give the url of the page with the article, when (approximately) toi first posté it, when toi soumis the edit, how the page is behaving differently than toi expect, et cetera. As a web designer myself, I can say with certainty that plus detail is pretty much always better than less, when trying to figure out what a problem is (and then fix it).
