In the middle of the night, Duncan got out of his lit and walked over to where Noah was sleeping. Noah opened his eyes and smiled at Duncan. Duncan lifted up Noah's chin and bopped him on the nose. "You know, I could streak your hair if toi wanted. toi would look so cute." Duncan ruffled Noah's hair playfully with his other hand as Noah laughed and agreed. "Let's do it! I've never done anything with my hair before, and your hair looks so awesome! I've always wondered what I would look like if I looked plus like you." Duncan smiled. "That's great Noah. I've got a box of paint right here." Duncan reached under his bunk lit and pulled out a metal box. The handle clanged against the metal as Duncan carefully placed the box on Noah's bed, clicking open the lock as it shot open. Duncan reached into the box and pulled out a tube of paint while Noah turned around so that he could reach the back of his head. Duncan cracked open the lid of the paint tube and squeezed the paint into a palette, then took out a brush and dipped it in the paint. Duncan held up the portion of hair at the back of Noah's head and watched the paintbrush glide smoothly across Noah's chocolat locks, leaving a trail on his head that would be forever a deep shade of blue. When he was finished with that section of Noah's hair, Duncan smiled at the stripe that stretched from Noah's zig-zags to the ends of Noah's bangs. All that was left was to streak Noah's side pieces. Duncan already loved Noah's new hair, and he stared at it for a moment, when he noticed Noah's head limp down as he began to snore. Duncan laughed as he set the paintbrush down. He smiled as he rubbed his face against his and ruffled his hair. "You're going to look so cute, buddy, just wait and see."
