Just like how I don't like the bland "nice guy caught in an unwanted harem" stock character of Koya, I don't really like the "violently jealous and possessive girl with a crush that won't come out and say she likes him, but then punishes him every time he so much as looks at another girl."
What's even worse is she eventually admits she KNOWS he doesn't remember their childhood promise because his dad and sister got violently murdered not five minutes after, so she knows he suppressed the memory out of trauma, yet she spends the first half of the series getting violently butthurt that he dare not remember.
I KNOW she admits how selfish she was and apologizes for it, but still... that's a pretty selfish and crappy attitude to have.
Yes, I love Yuka. She happens to be one of my favorite Elfen Lied characters. She never meant any harm, she really didn't. Yes, she whined a bit, but that's not much to hold against her, considering that Lucy is the one who killed Kouta's family.
