If Wilson died I would cry, but I don't see how they could kill him off without hurting the show. Wilson adds a lot to it plus lots of people like him. The fact that KJ said that the cast would look pretty much the same makes me think it's one of the old or new team, in short, a less significant character.

Yeah, housefrk is right. Robert Sean Leonard has a contract that lasts for a couple more seasons, so I highly doubt Wilson is the one getting killed off.
