Of these, Tangled, but I would argue that The Princess and the Frog could also be labelled as the start of this era.

I disagree
The movie was not that successful
If it was Frozen would be hand drawn

Princess and the Frog started it, it may have not been money successful but it has a really big fan base now.

Tangled for sure. The Princess and the Frog didn't quite work, so they went in the direction of Tangled (CG) which lead to movies like Wreck it Ralph and Frozen

What fan base?
The Princess and the Frog was the training wheels
just like how the great mouse detective and Oliver and company were the training wheels to the Disney Renaissance.

Well that's how Disney sees it anyway

on the DP club, a lot of people who just join have it in their top five and I now know a lot of people who have in their top 3. People just didn't give it the chance the first time around

I think the new Renaissance should start with Princess and the Frog, since it was the first 2D movie after many years. But Tangled was the first of these, so obviously.

Not my favourite, (I prefer Wreck-It Ralph) but definitely. It's incredibly successful and has a huge fanbase, I think it restored a lot of people's faith in Disney again.

I feel that Tangled started a new era, but The Princess and The Frog is when the movies started getting good again. I'm with princecatcher93, I think it has a pretty big fan base (me included, it's my second favorite DP movie) on the DP club.

Tangled (or The Princess and the Frog) started this new era. WIR and Frozen were both great movies, but Tangled was probably the one that initiated it all.

If Princess and the Frog was the success that Disney wanted to be: Frozen would be hand drawn. I enjoyed the film as much as the next guy, but from a success standpoint, I find it kind of hard to defend on any other grounds other than "It's a marketable princess"
