Both my father and Gaston are dreadful to me, so to have MY dad go into a nut house; I wouldn't freaking care. He never even raised me, along with my mom. I grew up in my grandmother's house where she smoked and made me smell like rotton eggs.

I don't think it's the option. Depending on a man and marring someone you don't love to keep your dad from being taken to mad house or anywhere else is not gonna work well nor for you and neither for your dad because NO father would want that for a daughter. Despite having a very complecated relationship with my father I'd do all I could to help him but I wouldn't marry someone without love.
