Something that does bug me about Cinderella is how the step-sisters in most adaptations are portrayed as physically ugly in order to make Cinderella look good and Disney's animated Cinderella is no exception. They didn't have to make them as beautiful as Cinderella but they didn't have to make them ugly. Plus by having them such ugly dresses that look just like their regular outfits made it more unfair. I mean, they're going to the ball to win try and marry the prince, you'd think they'd wear dresses that were more impressive and not like their regular dresses just with different colors. So I decided to made a picture of them conventionally beautiful, while not as beautiful as Cinderella, with proper ball gowns and jewelry.

In the sequels, mainly after her make-over in the second movie, I think Anastasia is beautiful in an unconventional way and her unconventional looks do help with her being a complex, unique, and developed character in the sequels. However, back when the original was made there was never an intention of making a sequel, let along where one of the step-sisters is reformed, so it's really showing unfair biasness. Ugly people aren't all evil and we can tell if beautiful people are horrible, so Disney didn't need to do this to make Cinderella look good.

Anyway, please let me know what you think and I hope you guys like it!

@KataraLover I've always felt pretty much the same way. I mean, I understand that a big part of the reason they were so mean to her was being jealous of how beautiful she was. But there are ways to show Cinderella as more attractive than her step-sisters without making them cartoonishly ugly. Honestly it's always bothered how so many cartoon villains/villainesses are so much uglier than the heroes/heroines. What kind of message does that send, ugly people are evil and attractive people are nice?!

Yeah, even with my favorite movie of ALL TIME, The Wizard of Oz, saying only bad witches are ugly. Well, I guess either if they decide to be evil they lose their good looks and become ugly or if they're born ugly they're not allowed to be good. Plus, if that is the case, why did Glinda ask Dorothy if she was a good witch or a bad witch? I mean, she's clearly pretty! It works sometimes because Ursula is ugly but her design is amazing! But either way, the sisters didn't need to be ugly to make Cinderella look good, The Evil Queen is beautiful but doesn't make Snow White not look beautiful.
