Eric saved her once, which isn't saying much, considering Ariel saved him twice.

^OUCH. Then us real live people ARE ALL damsels in distress by that narrow definition! Fandoms skew everything.

If you're female and you need help from someone else--- even once--- you're a damsel. I think that's BS.

I don't consider any of the DPs a "damsel in distress".
