I don't think things come easily to her, took her heaps of guts to take her fathers place in the army and fight for her people.

^^That's exactly what I don't like about her. She somehow overcomes tasks much too big for a young girl her age and size with little experience. Most of it is just by luck. Her flaws aren't really supposed to be seen as flaws, either.

Everything was difficult for her, she succeeded because she tried hard.

*Sigh* I guess I'm willing to see the flaws of my beloved favorite DP. :(
I still adore her no matter what. Nothing will change that.

My jaw dropped with whole cardboard cut out personality option. I can think of at least 6 princesses who's personalities fit that description more. Mulan is amazing and works hard to get where she ends up.

This is one of the best examples I can think of.

I was kind of tempted to say "cardboard cutout personality" because she doesn't talk much and she's really quiet and subdued, then I remembered that IS part of her personality. She's one of Disney's best examples of an introvert - naturally tends to be rather quiet and withdrawn. She's rather lively and talkative when it's just her and the animals, like Little Brother and Kahn. But when speaking people like Mushu, her parents, or the army men are around, she's naturally more likely to let them do the talking.

That just served to make me like her even more!

i disagree that things come too easily for her she struggled a lot in training at the begaining of i'll make man out of you did you not see her getting abandoned in the mountains and how Shang refused to listen to her
