definitely. Rapunzel really doesn't change all that much (just a bit personality-wise where she's more confident), whereas Merida completely changes her attitude by the end of the movie.

When you say developed, does that mean that she had to change over the course of the movie, or her personality is defined? If the former, Rapunzel. If the latter, Merida.

Yep. She has quite the layered personality. Rapunzel does too, but Merida develops more in the movie

I might be biased because Rapunzel is my favorite DP but I think she is one of the, if not the most developed DP. So I am suprised that she is loosing to Merida. Yes Merida compromised with her mother in the end and admitted she was wrong, but I do not think she really has much depth. I do not think her personality really changed she just had to change what she was doing because the was she was arguing before did not work. She learned to understand her mother but that is really it.

She is very quiet and hyper then she becomes more confident and mature

but Merida is close behind

Rapunzel's development is slightly more subtle than Merida's (Even though it's obvious), but I sense a real change in her.

Merida had a sort of redemption arc, and became less bratty and selfish, and became more understanding, while Rapunzel just became braver and more confident. They both change though.

All the other Disney Princesses are more well-developed than Merida
