It's her mother who undergoes the change in character, not her. I don't get it when people say she changes. She doesn't change at all.

While her mom is not turning back into a human, she's crying and finally admitting that it was all her fault. I think that's where she changed. She went from blaming the witch, and her mom, and the cake, to finally taking responsibility.

^^agreed, there is a whole scene about her changing, how could anyone say she didnt learn? it is the one thing i like about her

A lot more than Ariel, that is for sure. She finally took responsibility and learned to be more thankful to her mother and family. She grew with her mother.
