Ariel is a spoiled rich girl who disrespects and disobeys her father and whos oned dream is the one thing her father does not approve of vs. Tiana is a hardworking average young woman who not only respects her family but her one dream was also her fathers...

Just because Ariel's ambitions and goals are different from her father's doesn't mean she is undeserving of finding a realisation for her dreams or having her opinions respected and at least taken into the account. There was a reason behind her disobeying Triton and it was directly linked to his generalized worldview and negative prejudices against the human culture which he moved on later on thus admitting he wasn't exactly thoughtful or fair regarding his judgement directed at the entire human race. Our parents are not always right about everything nor was Triton as respectful and accepting of Ariel as Tiana's parents were of her goals and aspirations. Eudora supported Tiana through every step of her way whereas Triton destroyed - in a matter of seconds - every single item from Ariel's collection she had been effortfully working on, some of which almost costing her a life to collect because figuring out and getting to know the different world despite the judgement of her surrounding was as important for Ariel as it is for archeologists, explorers and sailors. As for wealth, I honestly don't see what does it have to do with anything. Just IMO obviously.
