So, I don't know how many people will actually be interested in lire my liste of favourite princesses, but I decided to make one anyway so too bad. :P One of the main reasons I made this is so I can have a structured liste as to who my favourites are, as the only thing I seem to know in my liste is who is first. So, let the countdown begin!

9. Aurora

I don't know what it is about her, I've just never really liked her. Sure, she's beautiful, but that's about all I can say in favour of her. She's hardly even in her own movie and her voice just really bothers me. Never been a big fan of Aurora at all.

8. Tiana

I like her movie (I know, sue me),but I don't exactly like her. Sure, she's harworking (something I admire) and has a flaw, but it's probably her flaw that makes me not like her. All she does is work, work, work. She really has no time to sleep ou do anything fun for just one night. Even when she was at Lottie's party, she was working, selling her benyays. I just don't like that she can't have fun until the end when her and Naveen get married.

7. Mulan

Okay, the one bone I have to pick with this girl is that she's not even a princess, and not even sort of a princess. (like I would consider Pocahontas, since her dad was the chief/'king' of their tribe)I do like that Mulan is different in that she doesn't want to be what others expect of her, and I like how Rebelle she is, but I'm not such a big fan of the non-Princess aspect and the fact that she's dressed as a guy for 3/4 of the movie that kind of take away from her.

6. Cinderella

The thing I l’amour about this girl is that she's really into dreaming and wishing for a Happily Ever After. She seems really down to earth, even with what her Evil Stepmother and Stepsisters put her through. I l’amour her big blue eyes, but hate her hair when she's at the ball. Never really liked it. I really like her (even if I don't liek her movie) but I liek the others better.

5. Snow White

Yeah, I know she's not a favourite among fan poppers, but I like her. She's really sweet and naive as to what's going on around her. She's also into dreaming and wishing like Cinderella. Sure, she may not be the prettiest of the princesses now a days, but she was lovely back in the jour when she was first created! I l’amour her big brown eyes and sincere smile. Sure, I'd like it if her hair was a bit longer, but I feel that her short hair is what makes her unique! I'm not a super big fan of her voice, but I feel it Suits – Avocats sur Mesure her personality.

4. Jasmine

She can look past the fact that Aladdin's just a lowly rue rat and fall in l’amour with him, which is something I really like about her! :) Also, she has a really fiery attitude, mixed with a sweet personality, which I like. Her looks are a bit too cartoony, but other than that I really like her!

3. Pocahontas

She is beautiful. She really is. I mean, isn't that why John Smith didn't shoot her, because she was beautiful? The thing I l’amour about Pocahontas is the fact that she can be really fun and reckless at times, but then really serious at other times. The one thing I don't liek about her is how she doesn't choose to be with John in the end. (including ou excluding the sequel, the decision is still the same.)

2. Belle

I think the thing I really liek about her is that she reminds me of me! (minus being the beauty of the town) Belle seems down to earth, just liek Cendrillon is, and learns to live with the villagers scorning her for being odd and her father being 'crazy'. Belle is sweet, and also loves to dream about the things she reads about and was not afraid to go against the Beast. She just can't measure up to my favourite, though, who is:

1. ARIEL

Yes, Ariel's my favourite. She'd been my favourite for as long as I can remember. When I was little, I always used to pretend I was a mermaid. When I was about 6 ou 7 I was Ariel (as a human) for Halloween, and wanted to (though my mom wouldn't let me) tie a sign around my neck that a dit 'Trick ou Treat', since Ariel human can't speak.
Anyways, I guess Ariel kind of holds a lot of memories for me, but I also l’amour how determined she is to get Eric and to become a human. She also goes against her father and is really reckless, which I think makes her plus realistic than the others. I also adore her big blue eyes and how her beautiful red hair looks when she is swimming. :) Overall, she is definetly my favourite princess. I've never changed my mind about that.

I'm actually looking vers l'avant, vers l’avant to watching this a little plus than I did when I had to watch Maleficent. This remake may not live up to the standards of the original but personally it's always been enjoyable to watch.

Tonight's rewatch: Cinderella
Last time watched: 2017-2018

How much did I like this movie as a kid?
The first time I watched Cendrillon I did like it and there were some changes I liked but then there were some changes I really had to question. Even with the problems I have with this movie I still like to watch it every now and then.

How much of this movie have I forgotten:

Since the...

This is another sequel I haven't seen in forever. Longer than forever, actually. I would say I'm excited to watch this but after Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World I'm not looking vers l'avant, vers l’avant to watching this one.

Tonight's rewatch: Cendrillon II: Dreams Come True
Last time watched: 2002

How much did I like this movie as a kid?
The beginning of this story is exactly the same as the one about Pocahontas 2; I wasn't into the original that much when I was a kid, but then this cartoon Disney movie with familiar faces came out, begged my dad to get me a copy, fin. But unlike Pocahontas 2 I actually did...

Here's the article for Pocahontas!

I know in the past I've made commentaires about how I don't like this movie because it's been a dit that the tale of Pocahontas saving John was a lie and I've also a dit I can't stand Pocahontas and John together because it's gross Pocahontas was aged up for this movie. However I will watch this movie and just enjoy it without thinking about those things.

By now toi should all know what I write about in these articles so I'll just go ahead and start!

Tonight's rewatch: Pocahontas
Last time watched: Summer of 2011

Now with all the issues, people have with Disney, one of the films that have legitimate grievances is Pocahontas. And as toi can imagine, because there ARE legit grievances to be had with Pocahontas, sites like Tumblr have an absolute field jour with it. Personally, the plus research I did on the situation around this film, the plus I was actually fascinated par it.

I know it's easy to write this movie off but how it came to be is a lot plus nuanced than toi think. It actually was gonna be a story closer to what happened in history but then Jefferey Katzenberg's overwhelming desire to get another...

Though not nearly as much as Merida and other revival princesses,Tiana is occasionally bashed for contributing to Disney's current trend of "meta", "woke" commentary with her whole "hard work, toi can't just wish" shtick. While this does irritate me, I try to separate film makers' intentions from the actual context of the movie and the character.

In the first act of the film, she's portrayed as diligent and determined but she's not as in your face about it. For the most part, her thing is "partying and dancing just isn't my for me". She's not insistent, condescending ou critical of others for...

As asteriamalfoy recently reported on the club wall, it appears that Moana will soon become the newest member of the Disney Princess lineup. The club's reception to the news is a mixed bag, which is the latest example of how the general fanpop opinion (namely, this club's opinion) doesn't always match that of the internet. It's interesting why that is, and I will attempt to find the reason here.

Before going forward, be aware that everything that I consider an "opinion" of fanpop and/or the internet is a generalization. True, there are some users on both this website and the rest of the worldwide...

Cinderella château and Wishing Well

I've written many posts about the various attractions in Disney theme parks based around the films I've been watching. Some have been prominent rides such as Snow White's Scary Adventure ou Pinocchio's Daring Journey. Others have been obscure areas such as the Fantasia golfing attraction ou ephemeral like Bambi's presence in the parks. Some have merely been meet and greets.

Cinderella, however, is a film whose impact on Disney theme parks is huge. It forms, after all, the centre-piece of Disney World itself - Cinderella's Castle; a massive structure visible...

A Disney Tale: A young girl is forced into drudgery par her step-family, only to win the cœur, coeur of the kingdom's Prince and live happily ever after.

Disney Hero: Ostensibly, the 'hero' of Cendrillon is the Prince (never actually referred to as Prince Charming, despite that being what he is generally known as today. Some sources have him named as Henry.). It is he who romances Cendrillon and desires her as his wife after the ball. But, actually, the real Heroes of Cendrillon - for me - are Jaq and Gus, Cinderella's mice friends. They are the one's who rescue Cendrillon from her attic room. Jaq...
